Endurance Training

If you have ever trained for a triathlon, marathon, or some other endurance event, you may have noticed that training using traditional long, slow distance (LSD) methods takes up a LOT of time. On top of all the hours out on the road and away from the family, this type of training can also be counterproductive at times-ever been injured while training? As our name implies, we here at CrossFit Race are very active in training and racing. We utilize CrossFit Endurance programming to prepare for our races, and it has worked to great effect. The basic idea behind what we do to train is that shorter duration, high intensity interval training (anaerobic training) is just as, if not more, effective at building endurance and stamina as LSD training. In short, you can get ready for your events while spending less time out on the road!
